Breast Milk is natural
and the perfect first food for newborns but breastfeeding is not always easy and sometimes struggles may come up. My desire is to help you make goals and find solutions that work for you and your family and empower you with the skills and knowledge to reach those goals and overcome your struggles.
I met Kimberly in the hospital postpartum, after a difficult labor (40+ hour labor, placental infection, and covid). To say the least I was exhausted and overwhelmed. Despite that I still wanted to breastfeed. Right from the beginning she made me feel extremely comfortable, built rapport, and jumped right into educating me about breastfeeding. Although due to being sic, breastfeeding took a hard turn, when I returned home Kimberly continued to offer support, guidance, and encouragement. We had latching issues, used fingers/tube feeding, had to combination feed formula and breastmilk, pumping full time to keep supply while teaching my baby to latch, tongue/lip tie procedure etc. Anyone that has gone through these things knows how difficult and discouraging it can get. Despite it all Kimberly remained in constant contact and by my side throughout it all. It took over a month before I was breastfeeding exclusively. I couldn’t have gotten to experience this bond and learning with my daughter without Kimberly. She’s not just a lactation consultant, She’s family!
